I was looking back
On the road I came from
I’ve always felt
That nothing was changing
And I was simply living in a cycle
But now that I looked back
A lot of things actually changed
The people I met back in the past
Are not the same people in the present
Everyone changes
It goes on naturally
To the point
That we ourselves
Can’t notice that we have changed
I look back
On certain people
Some are happier
But at the same time
Some are lonelier
It’s natural right?
Life is full of happiness
Life is full of sadness
It’s the truth
We should learn to live with that
Everyone changes
But they cannot hide those footprints
They’ve left behind
The past is the past
It’s already done
You cannot lie about it
Even if you yourself
Believe that beautifully decorated lie you’ve created
There are people out there
Is thinking about you
And the memories you two shared
But there are people out there
Who will pretend that those memories
You’ve created
Had never existed
Change is not something
We can’t prevent
The world is changing
The world is not slowing down
It’s natural
We should not be afraid of it
What’s important now
Is to live your life in the present
And to look forward to the future
